Steps To Shopping At Aldi

If you are lucky enough to have the grocery store Aldi near your home, consider yourself blessed! Time and again, shoppers have praised this grocery store chain that first opened up in 1913 in Germany. With over 2,000 locations in the United States, Aldi is a store that keeps getting more and more popular with shoppers around the world.

If you haven’t been to this particular grocery store, then you are in for a major treat! Read on to learn more about shopping at your local Aldi.

Start with a quarter

Your local Aldi does not hire employees to bring in shopping carts. Instead, you must bring a quarter to release one of the carts from a line if you need one. Don’t worry-you get the quarter back when you are done with the cart!

Bagging your groceries

To keep operating costs low, Aldi charges customers for plastic and paper bags. However, you don’t have to use their bags when you shop there. You can bring your own reusable totes or disposable plastic bags instead. Many locations also leave boxes out for people to grab if they would rather box up their items.

Be prepared to bag

Another way the brand passes on savings to their customers is by having you bag your own groceries. Once you check out, pull your cart up to the counter and bag away! Sure, it takes a little extra time out of your day, but it is a great way to bag things the way that you like!

Perfect for staples

If you need canned foods, baking goods, bottled water, and boxed goods, Aldi is the place to shop. They offer great deals for basic staples you will always need in your home, such as flour, oil, spices, green beans, and more. It’s a great place to stock your pantry when you need non-perishables.

Don’t expect everything on the shelves

Most products you find at Aldi are their particular brand. They generally don’t sell name-brand items unless they get a deal on them, and in this case, that brand may only be sold that week as a special item. If you must have your ground coffee from Starbucks, you’ll have to shop elsewhere. But even though they might not have the big brand names, the Aldi brand gets rave reviews from consumers time and again. You’ll save money while still enjoying quality food and drinks!

Check out their dairy selection

You’ll find great prices on dairy products, from milk to eggs to butter and so much more. You’ll also find a large selection of organic dairy products in most locations. If you want some interesting cheese for your holiday cheese plate? They have a wide assortment of gourmet cheeses that will look amazing on your charcuterie board.

Get there early

Their best deals often sell out fast. Get there when the doors open if you see something in the flyer you just have to have. You may not be able to find it later that week.

Save money and time by doing most of your shopping at your local Aldi. You’ll love the prices and the fantastic products!
